Saltburn Farmers Market Saturday 13th May
Posted on 15th May 2017
The first of our pop events this summer was held at Saltburn Farmer’s market. Visitors to the market were asked to share a wildlife memory and complete our rhyming couplet questionnaire on the activities they did as children. Our props Oswald the otter and Jay the jay attracted a lot of attention. People who remembered picking rosehips as children were offered a taster of the U3A rosehip syrup brought by Judith. We had a fun day out and collected plenty of memories. These included memories of red squirrels coming into the house, collecting seagull eggs to sell to visitors, stepping over adders, street games, sea coaling and collecting wood nuts. A big thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time to make this a really successful day out.
